At-Arm’s-Length
Comedy Club

Some people may not realise that they need glasses because they’re managing presbyopia (needing glasses as you get older) by squinting, holding the paper at-arms-length or even putting the big light on to read. Some of these behaviours are straight out of a comedy sketch.

Created to highlight and normalise the symptoms of presbyopia, Specsavers launched The At-Arm’s-Length Comedy Club. Headline act, Jen Brister, created a set that uses humour to break barriers by bringing attention to common behaviours people adopt to avoid getting glasses.
